I Shot Myself.....

Here I am!

A few weeks ago, I picked up an old (1980's) lens for my Pentax camera at a garage sale.  I wanted to put it through it's paces, so I headed up to the local, Saturday evening "car show" in my town.  I took the opportunity to shoot myself - see the self portrait above  (I made the top I'm wearing BTW).

It was a nice diversion, and I had a good time.  The lens is manual focus, but a wonderful little gem  (Pentax A 50mm f.14).  Here are some more quickie samples:

I don't know who this kid is, but I just got a kick out of how he was checking out the old cars.

An old 1940's Harely flat head??

I RARELY do any post processing beyond cropping or resizing ( I hate software editing programs), but this photo just begged for something fun to be done to it!

Just so shiny.... and yellow......

I just liked the linear feel of this old, red Ford Falcon.

Gwen, I'd love to see some of your shots.  Do you have them posted anywhere? (webshots, flickr, etc...)

Simplicity 3842 - Here it is in another WILD print.  I used only about 1 1/4 yards per top.   The rolled hemmer foot REALLY made such a nice finish to all of the edges.  I made both of them on my 201 using some cheap slinky poly in just a couple of hours.  I dress them up with nice slacks and I wear them with jeans.

I love your pictures! Makes me want to go get a new camera too!!

I also love your top. I think on my next project I need to try that narrow hemmer I got with my new (to me) Singer 99. I was looking at that foot with the woman I bought the machine from and that was my guess as to what it did. Shirt and photos are really great!

Two of my favorite interests brought together! I love your photos, especially the ones of the photo you took of yourself and the one of the mid 1960's Ford. I recently purchased a similar vehicle from an Indianapolis Ford dealer; however, it is a convertible and simply a "blast" to drive!

It started as a 6 cylinder automatic. It has been converted to a 347 Stroker with T5 manual. Currie 9" posi 4:11 rear end. All wheel disc brakes with 16" front and 17" rear Cobra wheels. Dodge Omni rake and pinion steering and last but not least or finished is a leather interior.
