Universal, Marked Sewing Machine Needle Plate- Instantly!

Although after market, marked needle plates are available for some models, they often don't fit as well as the original. For certain machines, like the Singer Featherweight, the marked needle plates can be pricey.  It's common for marked needle plates not to even be available at all for many models of sewing machines.

So, people resort to strips of tape on the sewing bed or measuring and installing a seam guide at the correct spot for the desired seam allowance.  Well, tape can wreck havoc on the finish of your machine and look like crap.  A seam guide can be handy, especially for long, straight seams, but measuring all the time to locate them correctly is a pain unless you always use the exact same seam allowance for all of your projects.

So, I have come up with a removable, laser printed, matte finish, frosted label that can easily and quickly be installed on any sewing machine needle plate to provide accurate seam allowance marks for just a few cents!

Below is the slide show that illustrates how to install the adhesive needle plate seam guide.

The design of these adhesive needle / throat plate markings has been updated (New & Improved!), and they are AVAILABLE NOW through the Sew-Classic Webstore.

I have my Mother's 201-2 in its original bent wood case. The case is in wonderful condition and the machine is also, but it does need refurbishing. Wish you lived closer. Do you do refurbishing for others?

Due to the potential difficulties that someone not familiar with packing  a machine properly  could encounter when shipping to me and the round trip shipping expense, I don't have machines shipped to me for refurbishing.

My 87 years young mother has just recently downsized to a smaller space and has given me her Singer 201-2 that I learned to sew on oh so many years ago, which, incidentally, is in exactly the same beautiful cabinet that you just sold on ebay (How I love that machine!)...

But my husband and kids are giving me great hilarious grief over the two bandaids stuck to the base marking my seam allowances, STILL THERE after all these years! They sure don't make bandaids like they used to, right? The kids will be so impressed to see new beautiful, accurate markings, after I send my dollar in.

There is one other problem, however. My elder brother, in a spirit of helpfulness, has apparently discarded the power cord which goes from the machine to the wall (to be fair, in his defense, he retired from the military, and after all those moves he is naturally inclined to toss anything that doesn't have an immediate match or use) You don't happen to know where I can get a replacement, do you? Thanks.

I'll get my dollar in straightaway.

I like the old style sticker better any way to get that style?

The old style sticker was discontinued becasue the orientation of the numbers made them harder to read.  Still usable, but not ideal.
The latest sticker has all of the numbers moved slightly lower and they all clear the oiling hole as well.

These are a great idea, but I doubt they will last very long.

Do you know if the graduated plate on the 185 will fit a 99K?

    Many thanks!

Nope, for 39 cents I don't expect it will last forever.  But, they hold up longer than you would think, and since they're so inexpensive, it's no biggie to pick up extras.

Since the 185 is a 99 in a green outfit, the parts are pretty much interchangeable.
